Tommy Lee Rhea, Justin Alder: White Supremacists Wanted By Cops For Baseball Bat Attack, Stabbing

HESPERIA -- Sheriff's detectives are searching for two white supremacists in connection with an attack by five people on a couple in their home, authorities said Thursday.

Tuesday's attack was not racially motivated but was the result of a love triangle, authorities said.

Deputies said they were seeking Tommy Lee Rhea, 22, and Justin Alder, 24, both of Apple Valley.

The pair and three other Apple Valley men are suspected of breaking into a home in the 19000 block of Lindsay Street on Tuesday morning and beating a man with baseball bats and stabbing him repeatedly, said Sue Rose, spokeswoman for the sheriff's Hesperia station.

The intruders then beat a woman in the home when she tried to call 9-1-1.

One of the intruders, identified as Andrew Scott Schroeder, 22, of Apple Valley, had once dated the woman, deputies said. The man who was attacked was her new boyfriend.

The man, whose identity was not disclosed, was taken to a hospital. His condition was unknown. The woman was treated at the scene.

Those involved in the attack are members of the High Desert Peckerwoods white supremacist gang, authorities said.

The five alleged attackers were identified as Rhea, Alder, Schroeder, Douglas David Kim 24, and Nicholas Joseph Griffin 22, all of Apple Valley.

Schroeder was found at a High Desert hospital suffering from a stab wound from the attack, said sheriff's Detective Paul Bader. It was unclear how

Schroeder was injured.

Rhea, a parolee at large, is considered to be armed and dangerous. He was described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

No description of Alder was available.

Kim was arrested later Tuesday at a home in the 14100 block of Lakota Road in Apple Valley, records show.

Griffin was found and arrested Wednesday morning in the 22300 block of Outer Highway 18, also in Apple Valley.

Both were booked into the Victor Valley Jail in Victorville on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and burglary.

In 2010, Rhea was sentenced to three years after pleading guilty to assault with a deadly weapon for threatening a black family, including two children, as the family rode their bikes in Apple Valley, records show.

Anyone with information on the location of Rhea and Alder is asked to contact the sheriff's Hesperia station at 760-947-1500.
