Recent rumours have suggested that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S IV on March 15th. Now comes word that the announcement could come earlier, albeit only slightly earlier. According to Mobile-Review?s Eldar Murtazin, the next Samsung event will take place on March 14th. While he does not say which device will be revealed, it?s likely to be Samsung?s latest flagship smartphone.
Murtazin has a mixed track record when it comes to scoops but a Thursday, March 14th event certainly lines up quite well with earlier reports. It also makes more sense to hold it on a Thursday than a Friday.
For its part, SamMobile has learned that the event will take place in New York City.
The Samsung Galaxy S IV is widely expected to come with a 1.9GHz Snapdragon processor with an Adreno 320 GPU, a 4.99-inch Full HD (1920?1080) SuperAMOLED display, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capability, and a 2-megapixel front facing camera.
Samsung could also unveil the Samsung Galaxy S IV Mini (codenamed Serrano) and a Galaxy-branded smartwatch (codenamed Fortius) at the same event.
